When you are offered the chance to shoot an original 1967 Shelby GT500 from the film Gone In 60 Seconds, signed by Nicolas Cage; otherwise known as Eleanor, you don't turn it down.

A good friend of mine mentioned to me that one of his co-workers, Chris Kenner, owned the car from the film and would be up for doing a short film with it. This was completely surreal for me because since I was a kid, I have seen the movie plenty of times and idolized the film and the car.

I had only a limited amount of time to shoot already, and we lost a lot of time on account of the brake lights not working properly. But the two days I had with the car flew by and before you know it that was it.

We had a storyline in mind, but weren't sure how to work it in with the footage that we were able to get. When I was trying things in the editing room, I casually put the theme-song from the movie underneath some of the footage, and it just had to stay.

The result is a faux-tribute to the film and the car. And although we weren't able to achieve a lot of the same things in the film, the car sure looked good under the lights of Las Vegas! Enjoy!

However there was this film in the early 2000s that grossed 230million and started Nick Cage...I don't think anyones ever seen it though.

Awesome, loved the camera work and the fact that you used the soundtrack from the movie. Worked like a charm!

Thank you! And I tried other songs, but the soundtrack just fit too perfectly not to use it

that was awesome. Now I have to go find the movie on Netflix. One of Mt favorite movies ( minus the 100% believable flat bed jump)

Amazing photography. Never was a fan of the big bad E however, I would take a GT350 over it any day.

Unfortunately so many of them are not unlike the movie car. 45 minutes in. That'll buff out.

the best chase scenemustang isnt even in this franchise. the boxstang isnt exactly pretty and the modern Eleanor is just tacky imo.

Sorry but as much as i like the car from the original 70's flick the version in 2k is far better IMO. As a mustang owner/enthusiast what Steve Stanford penned to the ShelbyGT500 for the movie along with chip fuse and cvs building the actual car resulted in nothing less than one of the best icons of an american muscle car PERIOD!. IMO the 'restomod' is such a stunning design it actually crosses the bridge from musclecar to the realm of exotic. And the crazy part is the fact that the modification are really moderate at best. What takes the car over the top was really just cleaning up and refining details. Im lucky enough to see one of the official replica's on the road from time to time, and i gota say, the car is on fire!. By far in the hot'est and most representative of a mustangs true soul to date. the 70s mustang represented the design fase of the 'disco' 70's weird funky shapes era, most likely penned by lsd crazed fanatics.
